organization profile

The primary goal of the undergraduate psychology program is to provide students with a broad understanding of the biological, emotional, cognitive, developmental and social basis of normal and abnormal behavior. This lays the foundation for graduate studies in psychology and related fields.
The graduate program aims to teach and train future researchers and practitioners who will contribute to furthering understanding of basic science in fields such as cognition, neuroscience, emotion and social behavior. In addition, it enables them to contribute to the development, testing and dissemination of empirically-based prevention and intervention programs.
Graduate students can choose any one of three programs: cognitive, social, and clinical-neuropsychology. Graduate students work closely with their supervisors and other faculty members to produce the highest quality research, often interdisciplinary in nature, and to prepare them for future positions as academics, research scientists and as leaders in applied settings serving healthy and clinical populations.
