Research interests

My current research agenda focuses on studying screen viewing and uses of digital devices in early childhood, as I wish to contribute to a better understanding of the social, developmental and psychological aspects of media use among toddlers and preschoolers. Within this area, I focus on several subjects: Parents’ and children’s media uses in public places; Impact of media uses on parent-child relations; Social uses of media in families; Role of grandparents in mediating children’s media uses; Social stereotypes on children television channels.
