Personal profile
Research interests
Overall, I am interested in the impact of personal and cultural factors on individuals’ behavior in social and educational contexts. In most of my research I focus on the roles of personal and cultural values and how these explain prosocial and organizational outcomes. In several of my studies I examine the interactive effects of personality (i.e., values, traits) and situational/societal factors on perceptions and experiences of the environment, among adolescents, students and working adults. I divide my research into three main streams, aimed at understanding and explaining: (a) internal conflicts and ambivalence; (b) prosocial values and behavior; and (c) reactions to change.
