Research interests

Dr. Zohar Arnon is a researcher in the fields of bioinspired materials engineering and nanotechnology, joining our department following his postdoctoral training in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Columbia University under the supervision of Prof. Oleg Gang. His research focuses on the design and fabrication of programmable materials using DNA, peptides, and nanoparticles, with an emphasis on creating hierarchical organization from the nanoscale to macroscopic structures with unique mechanical, optical, and biological properties.

Dr. Arnon completed his Ph.D. through the fast-track doctoral program at Tel Aviv University under the supervision of Prof. Ehud Gazit. He is the recipient of several international fellowships and awards, including the Clore Scholars Program, Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) Fellowship and an EMBO Fellowship. His work has been published in leading journals, including Nature, Nature Communications, ACS Nano, and Angewandte Chemie.
