Abstract
Following J. Blau, the writer believes that "Philippic Law" operated shortly before 300 B.C. It preceded the emergence of auxiliary vowels in segolates, already attested in the Septuagint. The law is not "Proto—Hebrew", being attested only in the Jewish vocalization traditions.
