Abstract
The October 2023 war highlighted the contradictions in Israel–European Union (EU) relations: solid strategic ties alongside widening value-based gaps. With the end of the fighting, both sides must enter a substantive dialogue to formulate an updated framework for partnership between Israel and the institutions of the European Union.
