Abstract
The article concerns the 1684 Sulzbach edition of the Zohar and its role in the history of the reception and canonization of the Zohar. It examines the context of the Sulzbach Zohar printing and argues that it was part of a larger printing project of the Sulzbach Kabbalistic circle which included the printing of the second volume of the Kabbalah Denudata in Frankfurt, and the printing of the Syriac version of the New Testament in Hebrew characters in Sulzbach. The article brings possible evidence of the involvement of Sabbateans in the Sulzbach Zohar printing project
