Abstract
The article consists of several philological notes concerning the Blessing over King Jonathan found at Qumran (See Tarbiẕ, LX [1991], pp. 295-306). The major item concerns the sentence עור קדש.על יונתן... המלך It is suggested that עור is a verb in the imperative meaning 'guard!' (cf. Job 8:6), and the word קדש is an epithet of God. Accordingly the sentence is to be translated: 'Watch, O Lord, Over King Jonathan...'.
