0.7 MW output power from coherently combined Q-switched fiber lasers

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate high peak power (0.7 MW) by coherently combining two fiber lasers in a cavity. To the best of our knowledge, this is the record peak power ever achieved from Q-switched fiber lasers.
