Abstract

In the title compound, C₁₆H₁₄ClNO₂S, the phenyl ring makes a dihedral angle of 78.1 (1)° with the indole ring system. The mol-ecular structure is stabilized by weak intra-molecular C- H⋯O inter-actions. The crystal structure exhibits weak inter-molecular C- H⋯O, C- H⋯π and π-π [centroid-centroid distances = 3.620 (1)-3.794 (1) Å] inter-actions.
