Abstract

We demonstrate the first photonic Quaternary Content Addressable Memory using a silicon photonic crossbar and present experimental equality check functionalities at a record high speed of 20 Gb/s. The QCAM achieves 50% higher capacity versus B/TCAMs and has an energy efficiency of 142 fJ/bit.
