Abstract

A new design method for 2D flat lens made of dielectric cylinders called the array scattering method is presented (ASM). The method is unique in that it can design a thin lens with better far field results than conventional homogenization methods. A comparison of flat lens designed with the ASM and a standard homogenization method is shown for demonstration.
