Abstract

We combine the Mk-II Function Points method for software estimation with the ADISSA (architectural design of information systems based on structural analysis) methodology for systems analysis and design. The combined method, which is supported by a software tool, the ADISSA Estimator, permits us to estimate software metrics such as size, effort (man-months) and duration (elapsed time) at the early stages of systems development. This is accomplished by basing the estimations on the products of a thorough system analysis and design process.
