Abstract

The design, calibration and operation of an efficient neutron spectrometer for multiplication reactions is described. The spectrometer consists of an annular liquid scintillation container divided into three segments which are operated in coincidence as individual neutron spectrometers. NE-213 scintillator is used and the system is operated with commercial PSD electronics. Neutron energy spectra are obtained from the pulse height spectra by unfolding, using the FORIST code with a modified response matrix.
