Abstract

The authors propose a method for preferential structural orientation measurement in thermoelectric materials with anisotropic diamagnetic susceptibility. An instrument using a sensitive torsion balance with electronic compensation of the rotating moment is described. The advantage of the proposed method is illustrated with extruded Bi-Sb, Bi2Te3-Sb 2Te3 and Bi2Te3-Bi 2Se3 alloys.
