Abstract
A new method for uranium enrichment is presented. This method is based on exciting 238U to its isomeric levels at 2557.6 and 2557.6+x keV. These isomeric levels have SF decay modes. Enrichment is thus obtained by fissioning only the 238U isotopes. Three ways for exciting 238U to 238mU are discussed.
