The material consisted of 31 patients with basal cell epithelioma, spinocellular epithelioma, junctional nevus and malignant melanoma. The findings revealed a significant correlation (p=0.003) betwen the CEA level and basal cell epithelioma; in the other conditions, the CEA level had no diagnostic or prognostic significance.
