Abstract

A new method was developed for calculation of the absorbed dose of ionizing radiation from glow curves of TLD used for routine personal dosimetry. In this method, fading of the low-temperature peaks do not influence the calculated dose, as only the high-temperature region is used for the calculation. The method is based on locating the channel with the highest number of counts and integrating the counts in a defined region around this channel.
