Peptide biotechnology is rapidly developed for recent years. In that field, peptide membranes had been studied for biosensor, nanotemplate and the other applications. We aimed forming novel functional membranes based on peptide structural properties, designed a novel peptide which was formed polyproline II helix conformation (Fig.1). This peptide was synthesized with solid phase peptide synthesis, its molecular weight was estimated with MALDI-TOF mass. The secondary structure in solid state and aqueous solution was studied with FT-IR and CD spectroscopy measurements, respectively. This peptide LB film could be made by the monolayer at air/water interface. AFM studies of the film suggested that the monolayer was constructed by peptide with polyproline II helix conformation.
