Abstract
A computer simulation of a Cl2 + HI chemical laser shows that in presence of a considerable amount of HCl, in the ground state, this system lases from the V = 3 to V = 2 band only, whereas the other bands are completely suppressed. This might be of importance for laser-induced chemistry.
