Abstract
Aaron Antonovsky was known by his colleagues as the founder and first chairman of the medical school selection committee, professor of behavioral sciences, and role model. In each of those roles, Aaron was innovative, steadfast to his principles, and an academian of stature and integrity who was respected, and could not be ignored whether one agreed or disagreed with his ideas and positions. Antonovsky spent most of his life studying and teaching about the process of coping with stressors that influence health status. He died prematurely from a severe fulminating illness.
