Abstract
The bond fission in acetylenic C-H and methyl C-D bonds of vibrationally excited propyne-d3 was examined. The required bond rupture was caused by the vibrational preexcitation of a state containing three quanta of C-H bonds. The C-D bond fission was considered as the dominant pathway with a definite branching ratio and combined energy. The results established the similarities in the average translational energies of D and H atoms.
