Abstract
Acoustic waves propagation in a liquid-filled bed with microbubbles is investigated. Analysis of the dispersion relation has showed strong influence of the free gas content on ultrasound dispersion and attenuation. The results indicate potential possibilities of the acoustic method as a diagnostic tool for a gas content detection in chemical reactors operating in two-phase flow regime.
