Abstract

The systematic study of the effect of group I-VI elements (Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, S subgroups) on the activity and stability of aluminum-platinum catalysts in the reaction of dehydrogenation of n-dodecane was conducted. In studying the activity and stability of bimetallic aluminum-platinum catalysts promoted with elements from group I-VI, it is shown that the increase in the yield of olefins in dehydrogenation of n-dodecane is due to an increase in the specific activity of the Pt. The existence of tolerance of bimetallic catalysts containing Cu, Cd, Sn, Pb, Ge, and Se to coke was experimentally demonstrated. It is shown that the increase in the stability of the catalysts in conditions of intense coke formation is due to prevention of carbonization of the platinum.
