Adiabatic output coupling of a Bose gas at finite temperatures

Abstract

Results are presented of an extensive analysis of the spectrum of the output atoms. The results are directly applicable to a number of output coupling scheme that involves a single trapped state and out output state. General fundamental issues are demonstrated by considering a one-dimensional Bose gas in a harmonic potential.
