    Abstract

Total annual aeolian deposition was 198.4 g/m2 at the loessial and 276.1 g/m2 at the sandy ecosystem. Total nitrogen input for the two sites is similar, 7.5 ± 0.6 mg/m2/month at the sandy site. However, at the loessial site total nitrogen input is higher during the rainy season while at the sandy site nitrogen input is highest during the driest month. This difference may affect the fate of nitrogen input. -from Authors
