    Abstract

A method for determining the succession of separation boundaries and process parameters and assuring maximum efficacy of classification of a given material into N components was presented. The effectiveness of the separation depended on the order in which the separations along the different boundaries were carried out as well as on the parameters of the classifier. The analysis showed that each separation yielded a coarse and a fine product.
