Abstract

An alternate synthetic approach has been demonstrated to synthesize novel tafamidis analogues. The present procedure offers an efficient, practical and cost-effective synthetic method to achieve the important scaffold and its extended amide derivatives that may exhibit several biological activities. Furthermore, the strategy has been executed by using affordable reagents, easily available intermediates, and lesser conversion steps, leading to a good yield of the desired compounds.
