Abstract

Applying the Quint-Viallard theory of unsymmetrical electrolytes, the equivalent limiting conductances of malonate anion , λ0(1/2Malon2-) = 64.7 S·cm2·equiv.-1 and hydromalonate anion, λ0(HMalon-) = 39.1 S·cm2·equiv.-1 at 298.15 K were derived from an analysis of the literature conductances of aqueous solutions of di-sodium malonate, sodium hydrogen malonate and malonic acid.
