Abstract

AC-AC power converters or frequency converter are defined as devices converting the input AC voltage ein of frequency fin to the output AC voltage eout, of frequency fout where f in≠fout. Analysis of the converter enables and assists the correct computer simulation of its behavior, the choice of the control method and their programs. The analysis of the duration of repetition period is required for the converter model construction, design of optimal control and regulation of its system. The aim of the study is estimation of the duration of frequency converter repetition period for its model construction. A new method for its determination is proposed. In this work a universal expression for the repetition period is obtained.
