Abstract
The paramagnetic susceptibility and electrical resistance of a tetragonal GdBaCuO6.2 single crystal were investigated. It was shown that the differential susceptibility in a magnetic field behaves differently from the isothermal susceptibility. It was found that this is associated with the adiabatic character of the differential susceptibility and the anomalously low heat capacity at temperatures below 20 K.
