Abstract

Reactor cores are modeled as double heterogeneous lattices. The purpose of this paper is twofold: to reestablish, with greater accuracy, a general formula for a boubly heterogeneous lattice, namely, a lattice of clusters, each of which is by itself a lattice of fuel cells, and to apply the general formula to the PWR and the BWR core such that pratical formulas result and such that an effective use can be defined for the single-heterogeneity notions with which lattice codes are armed. feul
