    Abstract

We report 3 patients in whom postural changes induced arrhythmias or conduction disorders. In a 70-year-old man leg flexion caused severe junctional bradycardia. In a 42-year-old man abrupt standing up caused slow ventricular tachycardia. In a 17-year-old girl with 1st degree atrioventricular block while supine, merely standing up abolished the block. It is important to consider the possibility of posturally-induced arrhythmias in patients with complaints suggestive of arrhythmia or conduction disorders, but in whom conventional investigation fails to disclose a pathological basis.
