Abstract
Total vapor pressures have been measured by the isoteniscope method in the following systems: formic acid + butanol, formic acid + hexanol and formic acid + dodecanol in the 298.15 - 318.15 K temperature range and in the formic acid + octanol system in the 293.15 - 318.15 K range. The excess Gibbs energy of mixing, activity coefficients and composition of thevapor phase were derived by a numerical integration of the Gibbs-Duhem equation taking into consideration the dimerization of formic acid in the vapor phase and the nonideality of the gaseousmixture.
