Abstract
An autoscaling CMOS APS with a wide dynamic range was described. It requires a large pixel area and the extra circuitry is divided amongst the four neighboring pixels. The binary information concerning the application of the reset is saved in digital storage so that the exact illumination level may be scaled appropriately.
