N2 - If SU(3)color descends from an SU(3)L×SU(3)R parent gauge group, quarks may furnish a complex representation involving 3N flavors. Baryon number B is then explicitly broken by SU(3)L×SU(3)R/SU(3)C instanton configurations, inducing ΔB = N processes. The effect is enhanced if left-right symmetry is not respected. The spontaneous emergence of QCD is accompanied by a heavy strongly interacting Majorana fermion, a right-handed neutrino, and a weak CP-violating phase.
