Abstract

A model is presented of the analysis of the binary closed miscibility gap when a third component is added. The analysis improves an earlier study that was limited to binary systems that have only a single upper solution temperature. A graphical method that studies the behavior of a ternary system is introduced. The method is based on a three-dimensional representation of the spinodal surface and it is simple to perform.
