Abstract

The solid-state interferometers with narrow waveguides for the electron paths and restricted to the mesoscopic scale were considered in order to retain the coherence of the conduction electrons. The results obtained by solving specific theoretical models were found in terms of of the various energy scales characterizing the system. The transmission amplitude of the electron wave for a tight-binding model with single real hopping matrix elements was described. The Onsager symmetry was observed due to encircling of interferometers by electron waves and the reflection of waves from the junctions.
