Abstract

The buckling problem is investigated in this paper for fluid-saturated poroelastic beams consisting of materials for which the pore fluid flow is possible in the axial direction only. The beam material is assumed to be transversely isotropic with respect to the beam axis. The time dependent behaviours of the critical loads and deflections are considered for various diffusion and geometric boundaries.
