Abstract
This paper deals with dynamic synthesis of some gear train mechanisms taking into account gearing backlash, errors of tooth pitch and the eccentricity of each wheel. The paper considers a possible solution for this nonliner mechanical problem by using the spectral theory of random processes. The statistical linearization method is used for this aim. In order to find out the optimal tooth numbers and shaft and tooth stiffnesses, driven masses are discussed. The backlash influence on the mechanism dynamics is shown.
