Abstract

A chain of coupled triangular wave oscillators in the continuum system is investigated. It is shown that the coupled oscillators affect each other in the same manner that a wave propagates. A condition for synchronization due to wave propagation is obtained mathematically. The mathematical results are verified by computer simulation. The similarity of coupled sinusoidal oscillator and coupled triangular wave oscillators suggests that the later could be used to study large number of coupled oscillators and to perform fast computer simulation.
