Abstract
Relatively large Au islands of the order of 1 μm and a density of ∼107/cm2, in coexistence with much smaller Au islands, were deposited on an n-type Si. The observed, randomly distributed Au/Si Schottky junctions, exhibited a diode charge storage with a time constant, RC≊1 ms.
