Abstract

In this study, the axial shielding factors of single and double-shell open-ended cylindrical magnetic shields are numerically calculated and represented by charts. The resulting charts allow a quick and relatively accurate estimation of the axial shielding factors in a wide range of the shields' dimensional ratios and permeability. The charts also allow to visualize and represent the results of calculations in a relatively compact and comprehensive form.
