Chromatic dispersion estimation for software defined networks based on the instantaneous power distribution

Abstract

We propose a new CD estimation technique based on the instantaneous power CCDF of the received signal in data centers interconnections and metro WDM networks. Results indicate very good residual dispersion prediction up to 80km.
