Abstract

β‐Elimination with cleavage of an ether bond has been observed in studies with the title compound. The rate constant for this reaction (4.6 × 103 M−1 s−1) is similar to that for the elimination of the β‐OH group from the analogous CH2C(CH3)2OH complex and related compounds. (Formula Presented.)
