Abstract

Binary systems with closed miscibility gaps are studied with the regular solution model. Some properties of these systems are investigated. A new quadric relation is proposed for the temperature dependence of the regular coefficient and shown to be more reliable than a logarithmic relation used until now. Examples are given to show the capability of the quadric function to fit experimental data.
