Abstract

Considered is development of new equipment in which a magnetic flux is switched on phase transition of matter from the superconducting state to the normal state, especially high-speed transformer breakers and current-limiting reactors with superconducting screens for limitation of short circuit currents in power systems. Liquid nitrogen is used as the cooling agent.
