Abstract
The measurements were carried out in a slab core reflected reactor installed in the Cornell University Zero Power Reactor. The wave source was a modulated neutron source oscillator. Neutron waves propagated in the core and reflected from the reflector were measured in addition to neutron waves propagated in the reflector and reflected from the core. Significantly different results were obtained from the two experiments. The most important conclusion is that the reflected wave amplitude and phase depend mainly on the properties of the medium in which the wave is propagated and reflected, and much less on the properties of the reflecting medium.
