Abstract

The photo-voltaic (PV) and conventional power (CP) stations of 500MW power are compared. An evaluation between CP and PV stations is carried out to: physical properties, economic indicators and electrical characteristics. It is shown, that for many parameters PV plants exceed those of conventional ones. An impact of introducing of large PV stations is discussed also.
