Abstract

The experimental study of the relationship between the natural global and the direct-beam solar spectra was performed. A Li-Cor 1800 spectroradiometer, having a wavelength range 300-1100 nm, and a passband of 6 nm was used for the spectral measurements. The results showed that the ratio of the two spectra was well appropriated by a simple two-parameter formula suggested by Rayleigh scattering.
